Happy Tuesday to you!

I am aware that there are only 9 days left until Christmas day. Many people are excited about receiving presents. Others are excited to see loved ones come from different regions to gather in one place. Some people are excited for another day of feasting. A lot of us are thankful for the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. However, there are others who just want to make it through today. This post is for you!

This post is for the person starting his first day at a new job. This post is for the person who will purchase her first car this evening. This post is for the family who will move into their first home this morning. Yes! It is an exciting time. However, I know it can also be a time full of anxiety concerning what lies ahead.

I want you to take a moment to relax. Realize that you received the keys to the house or the car. Realize that you have the position. Don’t worry about what could go wrong. You’ll make yourself sick stressing about the negative possibilities. I don’t even want you to stress about the positive possibilities. Stand confidently in this moment.

Say a prayer of thanksgiving for God’s provision. Ask God for His continual guidance in this new chapter of your life. Ask God for His protection for this day and the days to come. Choose righteousness at all costs. Know that God’s favor over your life is greater than any force that could oppose you. Be at peace. You’re not perfect, but God is perfect. As long as you delight in Him and follow His statues, everything will work out in your best interests. Promotions will come. Important relationships will form. Miracles will transpire.

Deuteronomy 8:11 “Take care lest you forget the Lord your God by not keeping his commandments and his rules and his statutes, which I command you today, 12 lest, when you have eaten and are full and have built good houses and live in them, 13 and when your herds and flocks multiply and your silver and gold is multiplied and all that you have is multiplied, 14 then your heart be lifted up, and you forget the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery, 15 who led you through the great and terrifying wilderness, with its fiery serpents and scorpions and thirsty ground where there was no water, who brought you water out of the flinty rock, 16 who fed you in the wilderness with manna that your fathers did not know, that he might humble you and test you, to do you good in the end. 17 Beware lest you say in your heart, ‘My power and the might of my hand have gotten me this wealth.’ 18 You shall remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may confirm his covenant that he swore to your fathers, as it is this day.
