Happy Monday to you!
How are you doing this afternoon? Hopefully, your day is going well, and you were able to enjoy the past weekend! I enjoyed a wonderful weekend, which prepared me to work diligently during the next five days. I think time off should always restore and renew, in preparation for greater works. In fact, today’s post will help you to work smarter on your current endeavors.
This post is a reminder of the value of prioritization: placing first things first. We live in a fast-paced culture. While online, you (most-likely) have several tabs up on your browser. Typically, you are on Twitter, Facebook, Linked-In, Instagram, etc. simultaneously. Many websites now have a system that allows you to link all of your online accounts to each other. Obviously, our society promotes multi-tasking. Yet, multi-tasking can have a terrible impact on your output. You may be able to say you’ve completed all of your work while multi-tasking. Nevertheless, the quality of your work can suffer greatly when you perform several tasks at once.
As you continue to work on your December vision, be more mindful. Order your list from most important goal to least important goal. Try to complete the goals in sequence rather than working on all of them at the same time. Write down all of the necessary steps to complete each goal. If a goal on your list is unnecessary to your progress or journey, removing it is okay. We have reached the halfway point of December. Thus, it is important to remember that efficiency increases productivity.
If you are guilty of multi-tasking, take a moment to ponder the following questions.
- Does multi-tasking impact your relationships? If so, how?
- Does multi-tasking enhance the quality of your work? If not, why do you continue to do it?
- Does multi-tasking affect your ability to enjoy work and/or achievements?
