Happy Thursday to you!
How are you this afternoon? If you think this week is going by at snail pace, I would have to disagree. This week was a breeze! It's a gloomy, damp day here on the Northeast. However, I am enjoying the fresh air and the colorful leaves. Today's post provides another important message that I think we all should revisit from time to time. Many of us are guilty of the following. We peruse various blogs, watch TV shows or YouTube videos that relay the latest gossip. Yes, this post is all about gossip. Some people live their each day, waiting for others to "spill tea". Yet, we ignore the fact that gossiping is sinful. We bash people for drunkenness or obesity or infidelity. Meanwhile, we have our tabs on several websites that tell stories about people's lives (without considering that many of the stories are filled with lies).
Let's get it straight: gossip ( in any form) is not entertainment. Gossip is destructive.
So let's do the unpopular thing. Instead of visiting that website, read a book. Instead of watching that video, go for a jog. Instead of watching that television show, let us pray for one another. Entertainment should be positive. This is the day that we take another step towards righteous living. No, it is not easy. But evading gossip will make our lives more fruitful. Take my word for it.
