A TIME TO CONNECT

This is the season for communion. This is the moment to love on God and love on your people. This is the opportunity for prayer and worship. This is the day to show consideration and compassion for strangers. Do not allow physical distancing to make you isolate and withdraw from people. In wisdom, reach out to others— you may never understand how much you need them and how much they need you.

Fellowship isn’t relegated to in person gatherings. Fellowship can happen during a routine phone call. Fellowship can happen during a video meeting. Fellowship can happen via a group chat. Use technology wisely to keep your relationships thriving.

If you are a gamer, get online with your friends and family. If you like to exercise, invite a group of your loved ones to participate in a workout via video conference. Are you a songwriter? Link up with your artistic friends and create the next masterpiece. Do you enjoy Bible study? Download a Bible app and read the Word with your loved ones.

When you isolate yourself for long periods, you leave yourself open to sin and destruction. Please know that there is a major difference between temporary solitude and permanent isolation. There is nothing wrong with taking moments to catch your breath and enjoy time alone. Nevertheless, don’t forget to stay connected with others.

Love,
