CORNELIUS

In Acts chapter 10 and verse four, an angel of God tells Cornelius that his prayers and acts of charity have come up for a memorial before God. How much more fervently would you pray if you understood how far reaching and impactful your prayers are? Jesus urges us through Luke chapter 18 and verse one that we should always pray and not lose heart. Moreover, in James chapter five and verse 16, the word of God declares that the effectual and fervent prayers of the righteous avail much. Now, how can any human being be called righteous when our sins are so grave? 2 Corinthians chapter five and verse 21 informs us that Jesus took all of our sins and bore them so that in him, we become the righteousness of God. Thus, it is through Jesus that we are righteous. Also, it is through Jesus that we can do as Hebrews chapter four and verse 16 says, “Come boldly unto the throne of grace and receive mercy and grace to help in the time of need”. Today, I implore you to never stop praying and trusting in the Everlasting Father.

ACTS 10:1 There was a man in Caesarea named Cornelius, a centurion of what was called the Italian Regiment. 2 He was a devout man and feared God along with his whole household. He did many charitable deeds for the Jewish people and always prayed to God. 3 About three in the afternoon he distinctly saw in a vision an angel of God who came in and said to him, “Cornelius.” 4 Staring at him in awe, he said, “What is it, Lord?” The angel told him, “Your prayers and your acts of charity have ascended as a memorial offering before God.
